Analytics

Teacher guide: course statistics and learning analytics. Choose one or more courses and look at the students’ progress, task and quiz statistics and individual students’ performance on three tabs.

Teacher app · Analytics

1 What Analytics is

Analytics (Course statistics) gathers the students’ performance data into a visual summary. You choose one or more courses, and the app calculates key figures, draws charts and shows tables. The view is divided into three tabs: Overview, Tasks and Students.

Analytics→ Choose courses→ Filter→ Overview / Tasks / Students
The data is fetched from the cloud for the selected courses. You can combine the statistics of several courses in the same view for comparison. For path courses (learning path), skill level analytics (TT, section 6) are also shown.

2 Course selection and filters

At the top you choose courses by clicking their name chips. Quick selections make this easier: Select all, Clear and (if there are path courses) Path courses only. Below the selection is the filter bar.

Filters

The filters affect all three tabs at the same time – for example, “Under 50%” shows only the weaker performers in all statistics.

3 The Overview tab

The Overview shows five key figure cards and two charts: a completion status ring chart and a cumulative progress line chart.

Key figures

On path courses, the overview also shows the TT level over the path timeline, which shows how the skill level (median ± range) changes as the path progresses.

4 The Tasks tab

The Tasks tab analyses individual tasks: horizontal bars of the average points and a sortable table. At the end are additional analyses of quizzes, essays and forums.

Task table columns

Click a column header to sort the table; ⓘ explains the column. The tab also has a Time vs score bubble chart (bubble size = number of AI hints) and, on path courses, a per-group analysis.

5 The Students tab

The Students tab lists each student as a row. The row shows the average points, the status of tasks and quizzes and the completion status. The arrow (▼) expands the row to show details.

Expanded student view

When privacy mode is on, the students’ names are replaced with pseudonyms and the numbers are masked in this view too.

6 TT level and CSV export

TT level (Task Tolerance)

On path courses each student has a TT level – their current skill level on a scale of 1–9, which determines the difficulty of the tasks they are shown. The level is updated as they complete tasks, and analytics shows it colour-coded:

The overview timeline shows how the TT level develops for the whole group, and the student’s expanded view shows the individual’s TT history.

CSV export

The 📥 Export CSV button in the top right corner exports the view’s statistics to a CSV file, which you can open, for example, in a spreadsheet for further processing or archiving.

Note: the statistics are calculated according to the selected courses and the active filters. If a key figure is shown as a dash (–), that data is not available for the selected set (e.g. no timing data or no quizzes).
